What I collect, why, and how to make me delete it.

Who this is

Adam Boehrer, Real Estate Agent, DRE #02419464, with Pacific Sotheby's International Realty. When this page says "I" or "me," that is who it means. Each Pacific Sotheby's office is independently owned and operated.

What I collect

Information you give me

• Newsletter signup on this site: first name, last name, email address.
• Facebook and Instagram signup forms in my ads: the first name and email address you submit. Meta may prefill these from your profile, and you can edit them before sending.
• Home value report request: name, email, and, if you choose to add them, your street address and phone number.
• Open house sign-in: name, email, phone number, and whether you are working with an agent.
• When you text, call, email or message me: your phone number or account name and whatever you send.

Information collected automatically

• Site visits: aggregate traffic counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics, such as which pages were viewed. It does not set advertising cookies, and I cannot see who any individual visitor is.
• Newsletter email: Mailchimp records whether an issue was opened and which links were clicked, which tells me what is worth writing about.
• Ads: Meta reports how an ad performed, like reach and signups, in aggregate. This site does not run the Meta Pixel.

How I use it

• To send the Coastal Currents newsletter you signed up for.
• To prepare and send a home value report you asked for.
• To reply when you contact me, and to follow up on something you asked about.
• To understand which pages, issues and ads are useful, so I can make more of those.
• To keep records a licensed real estate agent and brokerage are required to keep, if we end up working on a transaction together.

I do not sell your information. I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. I do not use it to decide who sees a housing ad based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.

Who else handles it

A few companies process information on my behalf so this can work. They are allowed to use it only to provide their service:

• Mailchimp (Intuit) stores the email list and sends the newsletter.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) runs the ads and the signup forms inside them. Meta's own use of your information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare hosts this site and provides the traffic analytics.
• Pacific Sotheby's International Realty, my brokerage, for its required transaction records.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Texts

I only text you if you texted me first or asked me to. Reply STOP any time and I will stop. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link at the bottom of any issue. One click, done.
• See, correct or delete what I have on you by emailing [email protected]. I will confirm it is you and handle it within 45 days, except for records the law requires me to keep.

California residents

California law gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you and how it is used, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for using any of those rights. I honor these requests from anyone, whether or not a given law technically applies to a business my size. I do not sell or share personal information as California defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you are welcome to ask.

How long I keep it

Newsletter information stays until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Messages and home value requests stay as long as they are useful for helping you, or as long as real estate record-keeping rules require if we work together.

Kids

This site and newsletter are for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date.
